Live an Educational Trekking Day in the Bosco di Alcamo Natural Reserve. 
Surrounded by a stunning natural panorama, you will explore the Bonifato Mountain, discover the Nature Reserve and feel at one with nature.


You can choose from 4 different Trekking Routes:

- Western panoramic path of orchids and rebirth. (Low-medium difficulty)
This route lasts 3 hours. Along it you will have the chance to observe old pines and cypress trees together with 28 orchid species, which can be observed from August to October during their flowering stage.

- Southern panoramic path of lovers and Holy Mother. (Medium difficulty)
This route lasts about 2 hours. You will enjoy the most picturesque and ancient part of the forest and discover through your path, species of Aleppo pine and cypress trees, thick under brush and scented flowers such as wild roses, cyclamens and honeysuckles.
Finally, heading towards the path, you can admire a breathtaking view of the Gulf of Castellammare.

- Archaeological Path. (Medium-high difficulty)
This route lasts about 2 and a half hour. Along this route you will discover the ruins of some ancient village. More in detail, you will see a medieval public tank, scattered ruins, old cisterns, two towers and the city wall.

- The path of St. Nicola and of wild asparagus.
(Medium-high difficulty). This route takes about 3 hours. Along it you will discover different kind of trees and bushes and will be surrounded by the flavoured scent of rue, wormwood, oregano and wild mint, while the under brush is dominated by the presence of wild asparaguses.

The service includes: one route at one’s choice with an experienced tour guide.
Bird watching activity upon request.

The reserve has a picnic area with benches, barbecue area, water supply, 2 bathrooms, one of which is for people with disabilities.

Recommended equipment: comfortable clothes and trekking shoes.

Via per Monte Bonifato, Bosco di Alcamo Nature Reserve, Alcamo (TP). .
On the highway, take the A29 and get to to the Alcamo junction. Follow the signs for Alcamo, then cross the city and go to Monte Bonifato. The best thing is to go to the street “viale Europa” and then follow the signs to the Riserva Naturale Orientata Bosco Alcamo. Follow the road to Monte Bonifato and reach the square "Funtanazza."

It is required an advanced payment amounting to 20% of the total price.
Balance must be paid on-site before the beginning of the tour.

Children are admitted on the basis of their physical condition.
Remember to show up to the reception 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the tour. For large groups you may want to fill out the form with the list of participants to avoid long waits.
In case of adverse weather conditions it will be possible to re-schedule the tour.

The withdrawal is allowed within 48 hours before the tour beginning. The deposit paid upon booking is not refundable under any circumstances.
