Enjoy the stunning and unique views of the volcano whilst sipping some of the finest wines of Etna - that's an experience not to be missed! And that's the experience on offer at the winecellar Planeta, situated close to Castiglione di Sicilia, 621m asl.
Characteristic of this area is the gradual erosion of the lava rock and the settling of an abundance of volcanic ash on the land, which has in turn made the soil incredibly fertile, making the grapevines that grow here unique to this vineyard.

You will start your experience by visiting the winecellar, born in a real stone garden within a lava flow of 1566. After this, a wine-tasting of 4 wines of Planeta. The tasting will be accompanied by a selection of delicious traditional Sicilian foods: bread with multi-award winning extra-virgin olive oil from Planeta, "cunzate" olives, crostini, anchovies, cherry tomatoes and cheese.

Terms of use

Winter timetable: from 1st November to 31 March (excluding Sunday and Bank Holidays): guided visit at 11.00.
Summer timetable: from 1st April to 31 October (excluding Sunday and Bank Holidays): guided visits at 11.00, 15.30, 17.30.

Cancellation policy

Withdrawal allowed up until 5 days before the service.
If you cancel with less than 5 days notice, there is a 50% cancellation fee.
In the case of a NO SHOW there is no reimbursement.
